My First Blog...
Wow!! Can't believe I'm going to do this. Blog about myself. I'm such a private person. Have a hard time Facebooking stuff. So here I go...
I'm a 42 year old women that is struggling with her weight (again). I lost 70 pounds in 2007 and have been trying my hardest NOT to gain it back. I've done really well with the exercise and eating healthy until this last year when our Fitness Center business was really struggling with the economy. With much stress and a lot of tears, we closed on October 10Th, 2009. That is when I found myself, seriously injured with a groin pull during a race, in deep depression of closing my business and seeing my weight going up again. I was sick for an entire month with the groin pull and sever bronchitis. I couldn't run even if I wanted too. Couldn't Breathe and Couldn't walk. Finally, on November 5th (checked my runkeeper) I hit the road again. Started just walking, still struggling with the tears of my depression. I had to start all over, my body knew how to run but the mind was all over the place. It is hard to run if your confidence is totally shook. I hear it over and over again, Running is mostly mental not physical. Over time, I have been able to run further and further without walking. At this point, I still trying to get to back to running 3 miles. I have a training plan that is completely realitic. I'm going to the chircoprator every week to keep my back aligned. I'm stretching and icing like I should. I have set myself some goals and I plan to accomplish this new path that God has layed before me. Thanks for reading my first blog. It was good for me to write this down. Here I GO.. GOTORUN..
